Peter Woodrow has been in construction since leaving school.  He was apprenticed to local firm R. G. Carter from Easter 1968.  In the 1970's he became self-employed, sub-contracting on many major projects in and around Norwich, leading him to become a main contractor in his own right.

In the 1980's he worked nationwide on a variety of projects which led him into speculative new house building.

The 1990's saw him move across more into the restoration of older buildings, including many large barn complex conversions and the repair of ancient houses including Listed properties such as: 18th Century Colney Hall, Norwich, 17th Century Manor Farmhouse, Tasburgh, Norfolk, 16th Century Bishop Bonners Cottage (Museum) Dereham, Norfolk.

Peter has taught at City College Norwich as a part-time Lecturer in Further Education for fifteen years in the School of Construction.

Peter is a Master Member of ‘The Guild Of Bricklayers' and a Member of ‘SPAB' (The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings).

At present Peter specialises in one-off projects where precision is of the utmost importance, his work source coming mainly from previous clients and recommendations.

In August 2011 Woodrow's Builders were awarded in conjunction with the architects 'Steed, Mutton and Griggs the 'Graham Allen Award for Conservation and Design' by North Norfolk District Council for a barn conversion and extension the team had completed.

If you have a forthcoming project where you require the highest standard of work you can contact us at info@woodrowsbuilders.com or call us on 07810 082789.
